Message Notes

Family First: Parenting 101?

Big Idea: Our job isn't to raise perfect kids; it's to faithfully form people who are learning to follow Jesus for themselves.

Scripture: Psalm 127:1–5 · Proverbs 20:7 · Ephesians 6:1–4

  1. Live it first — Seek healing and nearness to Jesus.
  2. Teach them — Discipline and instruction should come from love, not anger.
  3. Help them discover God's purpose — Release your grip and let God form their story.
  4. Pray like crazy — Trust God with what you cannot control.
  5. Release them well — Give them room to grow, fail, learn, and follow Jesus.
