Meet Pastors Chris and Suzy Parks

Chris has spent his entire life in the Bay Area, most of that time in South San Jose. When Chris and Suzy married they chose to make their life in that same area. They raised their kids there, played and coached Little League and soccer teams, and Suzy ran an in-home daycare for ten years. 

Both Chris and Suzy have a marketplace background of more than twenty-five years that includes more than two decades of volunteer ministry experience. They both joined staff at their sending church, Echo.Church in 2022, serving in various roles. Suzy was the Prayer Director and Chris served on the executive team, while also serving the Fremont campus as Campus Pastor.

One of the most unchurched regions in our country, the Bay Area, and specifically South San Jose, is filled with families trying to make a life. The community is racially and socioeconomically diverse. Some families earn very high salaries working in the tech industry while others are forced to live in homes with three and sometimes four generations to make ends meet. There are others who come to this region on work visas, leaving their families in another country, trying to make a better life here.

Having lived in this area for so long, Chris and Suzy feel prepared and called by God to minister to people in all these circumstances. Raising their own family here, they are intimately aware of the varied struggles families face and are committed to developing a community that welcomes all and points everyone to Jesus and his purpose for their lives.
