Philippians 4:6-7

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Most churches pray, but some are praying churches. Often, the difference between the two is hard to see but it is always felt.

Presence Church is a praying church. We were birthed in prayer, we are bathed in prayer and we believe in prayer.

Prayer is one of the primary spiritual disciplines that draws us into the presence of God. Our Creator wants to have an intimate relationship with us; he wants to hear from us and he wants to talk to us…this is the essence of prayer – a relational connection between you and God.

The old adage is true: God does things when his people pray that he doesn’t when we don’t. So we pray often.

  • We prayer walk our neighborhoods every Saturday, rain or shine

  • We hold special prayer sessions

  • When we’re grateful, we pray

  • When we feel stuck, we pray

  • When we’re in need, we pray

  • When we’re considering a big decision or a new initiative, we pray

Prayer is the bedrock of our relationship with Jesus.
