Summary
This week we explored what it means to be the Church.
Throughout Scripture, God's desire has always been to be with His people. In the Old Testament, His presence dwelled in the temple. But through Jesus, everything changed. Because of His death, resurrection, and the gift of the Holy Spirit, every follower of Jesus now carries God's presence wherever they go.
Paul reminds us in Ephesians that Jesus tore down every barrier that separated people from God—and from one another. No matter our background, story, or past, we all have equal access to the Father through Christ.
The Church isn't primarily a building we attend. It's a people we're becoming. Like individual building blocks joined together around Jesus—the Cornerstone—God is building something far bigger than any one of us could accomplish alone. As we faithfully take our next step with Jesus, our local faithfulness becomes part of God's global mission.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for bringing us together today. Open our hearts to hear from you and give us ears to listen to one another. Help us not just to learn more about you, but to become more like you. As we spend time together, strengthen our faith, deepen our relationships, and show each of us what our next step with Jesus looks like.
