Overview
The Operations Director at Presence Church works in collaboration with and supports the Lead Pastor in leading the staff and initiatives of the church. Their primary responsibility is to direct ministry teams, develop staff and leaders to effectively make a difference in our city, and help people develop a deep relationship with Jesus. They are one of the primary communicators of the church’s vision.

Job Description:
Model an intimate relationship with Jesus - Practice regular and daily spiritual disciplines like prayer, Bible study, personal worship, fasting, silence, etc. Exemplify the life of spiritual depth required of followers of Jesus.
Lead church staff & volunteers - Partner with Lead Pastor to lead church staff & volunteers to develop leaders and multiply volunteers. Includes leading staff meetings, creating feedback/evaluation mechanisms, department goal setting, team accountability, ministry alignment, etc.
Shepherd the DNA of Presence Church - Ensure that all teams proactively move toward the Presence Church visionary goals, core values, and prioritizing the Church’s ministry strategies.
Weekend readiness - Ensure all weekend services are executed with excellence in all areas (worship, children’s, guest experience, etc.). Work to remove every obstacle or distraction that could keep the church from growing.
Stage communication - Be a regular part of stage communications on the weekends to connect with guests, cast vision, and move people to take next steps.
Group Development - Prioritize the development of Life Group and Discipleship Group leaders, and discipleship in the church by working with the Groups department to recruit, train, and release people to lead.
Connection & Follow up - Weekly communication with first-time guests and those committing to take next steps at 5-In-5 or Sunday check-ins. Help lead the church connection strategy and process. Volunteer sign-ups, Group sign-ups, decisions to get baptized, etc.
Leadership Development - Work to build up the leadership pipeline of the church and continually develop and mobilize lay leaders to serve within their gifts and passions, prioritizing holistic spiritual health, including: spiritual vitality, healthy rhythms, leadership and shepherding skills.
Community Engagement & Evangelism - Build relationships with lost people, city staff, business leaders, church leaders, entrepreneurs, and others in the community Presence Church serves.
Support campus online presence and strategy - The use of social media, advertising/marketing, etc., and all local marketing (signs, billboards, banners, mailers, newspaper, etc.). This is done in conjunction with our marketing department.
Weekly resource development - Utilizing weekly sermon content and AI tools, produce all required resources for the weekly discipleship of our church; including: daily devotionals, blog posts, and group discussion guides, uploading them to the appropriate locations on our website.
Weekly communications - Manage weekly email newsletter and text communications in partnership with the Lead Pastor and marketing department.
Help manage ministry budget - Work with Lead Pastor and CFO to set the church’s ministry budget and ensure that ministry departments stay within it, track reports, and plan expenses effectively.
Other - Benevolence requests, model discipleship, develop marketing and evangelism strategies, plan community outreach events, manage facility reservations, pioneer giving initiatives, build a prayer shield that regularly covers you and your family in prayer, any other responsibilities assigned or requested by the Lead Pastor.

Community Engagement
Weekly / Bi-weekly Tasks:
Ensure that first-time guests and those who indicated taking next steps (salvation, baptism, volunteer, groups) are followed up with.
Lead weekly operations meeting and prayer meetings, as requested
Help lead staff and volunteers make and evaluate quarterly goals in light of overall church goals.
Meet with key leaders, donors, and volunteers for development and care.
Monthly Tasks:
Lead 5-In-5 after each service and follow up with assigned people.
Attend weekly operations meetings.
Presence Church ministerial duties of all commissioned, licensed, and ordained ministers include:
Praying and giving spiritual advice to others
Leading others to worship by helping them serve with their gifts
Teaching and leading Small Groups
Sharing the Gospel message with clarity
Teaching, instructing, or organizing religious initiatives
Performing baptisms, serving communion, performing wedding ceremonies and funerals.
