Next Generation Director

Overview
Presence Church is a growing, portable church passionate about helping people experience the presence of God. We believe the next generation isn’t just the future of the church—they’re the church right now. We are seeking a passionate, organized, and relational Next Gen Director to lead our Presence Kids and Presence Students ministries.
This role will provide leadership and oversight to volunteer teams, create excellent, safe and engaging environments for kids and students, and actively build bridges into local schools to grow the next generation ministry. Ephesians 4 ministry is the primary role of the Next Gen Director – equipping others for the work of ministry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Volunteer Leadership & Development
The primary role of the Next Gen Director is to be a spiritual influence in the lives of people providing discipleship, pastoral care and spiritual guidance that helps people take steps closer to Jesus and helps them discover and fulfill Jesus’ vision for their lives
Build a healthy volunteer culture that’s team-driven, fun, and focused on mission.
Recruit, train, schedule, and care for volunteers in both Kids and Students ministries.
Provide clear communication, leadership development, and ongoing encouragement.
2. Kids Ministry Leadership (Birth–5th Grade)
Lead and oversee Presence Kids on Sundays, ensuring a safe, fun, and Christ-centered experience for every child.
Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers for multiple services in a portable church environment.
Implement curriculum, plan environments, and ensure classrooms are ready each week.
Partner with parents and families to support discipleship at home.
3. Student Ministry Leadership (6th–12th Grade)
Build and grow a vibrant Presence Students community through weekly programming, small groups, and events.
Schedule and lead volunteers for student gatherings.
Engage in community outreach at local middle schools and high schools (e.g., lunches, clubs, events) to connect with students and expand the ministry’s reach.
Plan and execute student events, retreats, and experiences that help students grow in their faith and community.
4. Administration & Communication
Schedule all volunteers in kids and students using Planning Center.
Maintain compliance with all applicable state and local laws and/ or regulations regarding background checks, child safety, etc.
Communicate consistently with volunteers, parents, and students.
Collaborate with church staff to align Next Gen ministries with the broader vision of the church.
Help create and manage ministry budgets and resources.
5. Presence Church ministerial duties of all commissioned, licensed and ordained ministers includes:
Praying and giving spiritual advice for others
Leading others to worship by helping them serve with their gifts
Teaching and leading Life Groups
Sharing the Gospel message with clarity
Teaching, instructing, or organizing religious initiatives
Performing baptisms, serving communion, performing wedding ceremonies and funerals.
Qualifications
A growing personal relationship with Jesus and alignment with Presence’s mission, vision, and values.
Experience working with children and/or students in a ministry or similar setting.
Strong leadership, communication, and relational skills.
Ability to recruit, inspire, and organize volunteer teams.
Self-starter with strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable working in a portable church environment.
Background check required.

Schedule: 20 hours per week; Sunday-Monday required; additional day(s) flexible.
Weekly time for planning, outreach, volunteer communication, and student ministry gatherings.

Portable setting (set-up and tear-down required weekly).
